WhatsApp Update: WhatsApp has released a new version of the iPhone app in the App Store. According to the official changelog on the App Store, the iPhone user will not see the display notification badge for muted chats in version number 2.19.110 of WhatsApp Messenger released for the iPhone. This means if you have muted a chat and you get a new message from the same chat then the app will not show you the notification badge. Apart from this, new alignment guidelines have also been given to enable users to place emoji properly during the media editing in the new version.

According to WABetaInfo, the latest WhatsApp version released for the iPhone also added global group privacy settings. These settings were rolled out in India earlier this year. The settings released for India earlier this year are now globally similar to the group privacy settings, but there is a major change. Earlier, users used to get the option of Nobody in group settings but now WhatsApp has given the option of My Contacts Except instead.
